Starting Compensation: $75/hr+ with yearly raises. $105/hr+ after 2 years and strong performance.
Tutors must be able to contractually commit to 15 tutoring hours per week through June 2025.
Requirements:
-Undergraduate degree from an Ivy League University or equivalent (e.g., Amherst, Duke, Georgetown, Stanford, etc.)
-College-level degrees and coursework that indicate expertise in both quantitative and verbal portions of standardized entrance exams
-Post-5pm availability Monday – Thursday and full-day availability on either Saturday OR Sunday, ideally (some flexibility here)
-Exceptional communication and social skills and mentorship or teaching experience
-Verifiable 99th percentile or above SAT or ACT scores
-Successful completion of screening tests (truncated online versions of the tests you will be tutoring, administered online)
-Location in the NYC metro area with the ability to meet students in person in Manhattan (beginning no later than this September); many students still opt for remote tutoring, but others want to work in person
Tutors who do pass their screenings exams are invited to interview; interviews will be conducted over zoom and scheduled on a rolling basis during the month of August. There will be a Zoom training for hired tutors at date TBD in early September.
