ABOUT THE COMPANY -

The New Motor is a custom millwork and fabrication shop located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We work on a variety of projects ranging from retail displays to custom residential furniture and architectural build-outs. JOB SUMMARY -

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join the team at our Brooklyn facility. Relevant experience in the design and build field is required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS -

Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Rhino and Google Suite

Highly organized and the ability to multitask

Strong communication skills and ability to maintain positive attitude under pressure

Ability to solve problems creatively and infer solutions with given information

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE -

Job scheduling

Regularly visiting site and verifying field conditions

Communicate with clients and keep them informed

Reading and following plans

Sourcing and ordering material and hardware

Scheduling and meeting with clients and subcontractors

Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with clients

Supervising both in-shop employees and sub-contractors

Review shop drawings and build intent with shop floor

Quality control on-site and in the shop

Organizing and tracking build components and finished products

Review build technique / engineering with drafters

Includes both remote and in-house work
