Position: Seasonal Tax Preparer (Paid 1099)

In-Office Position | Competitive pay + bonuses

Requirements

Active IRS PTIN

Experience preparing 1040 individual tax returns

Must be willing to register for NYTPRIN (NY Preparer Registration)

Strong knowledge of credits, deductions & compliance

Experience using tax software (Drake)

Professional, detail-oriented, trustworthy and reliable

Preferred Skills

Experience filing business returns (Schedule C a plus)

Experience with ITIN applications, dependents, EIC rules, NY add-backs, etc.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate federal and NY State returns

Review source documents &verify identity

Explain tax outcomes clearly to clients

Maintain confidentiality at all times

Ensure compliance with IRS & NY rules
