We are an European Hi-end Dessert Company looking to hire a Cost Control/Finance Manager for our US Division
1. Assist the COO in formulating the company’s strategic and financial plans and support managers on tactical initiatives (pricing, business negotiations…). Monitor and direct the implementation of new projects business plans. Manage the capital requests and budgeting processes. Develop and maintain information systems and performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction and operational actions.
2. Accountable for supplying on time & accurate monthly reporting to the Group and to the COO. Analyzing & communicating (internally & to HQ) with financial results and variances versus budget or last forecast. Identify, assess and communicate financial risks and opportunities. Proposing action plans, when necessary, in order to meet corporate financial targets.
3. Supervise Accounting (AP/AR incl Credit Management/GL) and supporting the Accounting and HR Manager. Define their priorities and objectives, monitor their activity and performance. Support them in problem solving and in their internal and external communication. Propose, implement and maintain budgets, improvement plans, new organizations, processes, methods and systems in order to increase their performance and reliability. Be the main correspondent for HQ finance staff, banks, local insurances and tax CPA.
4. Monitor and coordinate all risks and open legal issues involving the company with the support of the Group’s support services (Legal, Tax, Insurance, Credit Management). Construct and monitor reliable control systems and procedures. Ensure that the company complies with legal and Group’s requirements (policies, processes, record keeping…). Report risk issues to the executive committee. Maintain relations with internal and external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
5. Supervise Office Management. Manage business relationship with vendors related to general office expenses (rentals, utilities…). Is the main correspondent with HQ’s IT department for defining, implementing, improving and maintaining IT systems for North America. Is accountable for defining users’ procedures allowing IT systems running at the right performance level.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Training: Master’s Degree in Finance / Finance Control
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven planning and organizational skills
Ability to motivate and lead a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and math skills.
Strong knowledge of accounting.
Strong knowledge of ERP and Business Intelligence systems.
FLUENT IN FRENCH
Experience: 7-10 years of related work experience
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
