Our client, a pharmaceutical beauty product manufacturer, is hiring for Compounders to support their manufacturing plant in Amityville, NY. This position requires prior compounding or mixing experience preferably in a cosmetics or similar type of manufacturing industry. PAY RATE - $20/hour

JOB SUMMARY

Perform activities in the compounding and mixing of bulk cosmetic products. Perform other required departmental duties as required – i.e. cleaning, sanitization, etc.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 Ability to perform all duties assigned to Assistant Compounder and Compounding Storage Area Technician.

 Follow the daily manufacturing processes of cosmetic products, ensuring that safety, quality, cGMP compliance, and throughput are of key importance

 Understand, and ensure all applicable SOPs are followed.

 Maintain and/or complete departmental log books and ensure their accurate completion within the SOP requirements for each.

 Possess an understanding of compounding techniques for the manufacturing cosmetic products, including but not limited to, emulsions, anhydrous products, gels, liquids, powders, and dyes.

 Understand and follow cGMP requirements in alignment with company and departmental SOPs and guidelines.

 Perform and maintain quality, safety and housekeeping standards

 Have an understanding of the manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, silos, mills, kettles, mixers, in-line homogenizers, temperature gauges, DI water systems, drop-in homogenizers, valves, pressure gauges, screw conveyors, scales and pH meters

 Follow all check weigh procedures for the weighing of raw materials.

 Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

 All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid United States Working Documents

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Minimum 1 year experience working with chemicals in cGMP environment

REQUIRED

Proficiency in a compounding environment, or equivalent

Understanding of English is required to understand and communicate SOP’s, GMP’s, addendums and procedures.
