Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the logistics operations of the company, including transportation, distribution, and materials handling.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.

- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure adequate stock levels.

- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, manage routes, and optimize delivery schedules.

- Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for equipment maintenance and repairs.

- Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop category management strategies and negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment in the distribution center.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, including transportation management systems (TMS) and materials handling.

- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing.

- Experience in demand planning and forecasting to ensure optimal inventory levels.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
