Physical Therapy Aide

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting our physical therapist with patient care and rehabilitation. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and have an interest in learning more about the physical therapy profession. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient care settings and with an interest in the sports health care field. Candidate must have an athletic background with the ability to keep up with our sports demographic. Own transportation a must.

Day/Times required:

Tuesday & Thursdays, Day time shift 9:00am-12:00 pm. (Bayport location)

Tuesday & Thursday, Evening shift 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm . (Bohemia location)

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: Mid afternoon shift 1:30 pm- 4:30 pm. (Bohemia location)

Duties:

- Provide support to physical therapist in the delivery of patient care.

- Assist with patient assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

- Help with patient transfers and ambulation.

- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.

- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress.

- Assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning.

- Perform tasks that may be assigned by the physical therapy team, such as setting up treatment areas or preparing materials for therapy sessions.

- Provide patient education and support to promote independence and self-care.

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

-Collecting/ documenting co-payment collections, along with distributing paperwork to patients when needed.
