Sr. Accountant

Description Accountant Opportunity in Garden City Anna Parson at Robert Half is working with a Services client seeking a strong client facing Accountant with an excellent accounting foundation and strong communications skills to join their team. As the Accountant, you will:

Work very closely with clients to assist them in preparing for a third party audit

Assist in preparing financial statements, supporting schedules and audit support workpapers

Help the accounting department to prepare management reports, budgets and board reporting when needed

Guide and develop accounting staff on how to successfully and easily prepare for audits and reviews

Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Management reporting experience

Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience preferred

Audit Workpapers experience preferred

Proficiency in Ledger Account Reconciliation

Financial statement preparation experience

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Must have excellent time management skills

Strong attention to detail

Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Proficient in ERP systems
