SOUS CHEF FOR INN AND EVENT VENUE IN THE CATSKILLS $65-75K + BENEFITS

Responsibilities Include:

- Work under the direction of Foxfire's Chef and alongside our existing BOH team.

- Prep for restaurant service and events.

- Prep and execution of wedding tastings.

- Executing restuarant service and events with our existing BOH team.

- Assist with inventory, ordering and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

- General kitchen cleanup at end of shift.

- Ability to use Google Suite.

We're Looking For a Candidate Who Has:

- The ability to cook creatively and be passionate about your craft.

- An insatiable appetite to stay current on industry changes and trends to ensure our dining program is compelling and thought provoking.

- The ability to work within an existing team.

- A need to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing, seasonal menus for both our restaurant and on-site events.

- Passion for detail, consistency, and timing.

- A desire to learn, grow and evolve as a culinary professional.

- The ability to communicate clearly, positively and proactively with all departments to ensure a great staff/guest experience.

Approximate Schedule:

- Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm

- Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm

- Saturday 1:30pm-10:00pm

- Sunday 1:30pm-9:30pm

- Monday 1:30pm-9:30pm

Hours may change slightly from event season (May-Oct) to our winter season (Nov-Apr).

Through October, Foxfire Mountain House will be hosting a mix of retreat style wedding events each Friday & Saturday with restaurant shifts (seatings from 5-8pm) on Sunday & Monday nights. From November 2024-April 2025, we will resume our Friday-Monday night dinner service in the Bar Room. This is a full-time, year round position with room for growth.

Compensation & Benefits:

- $65-75k annual salary
