Field Service Technician

NYSE focuses on mechanical and electronic repair of equipment in Central and Western NY supermarket and food processing centers. We install and repair meat processing equipment, electronic scales, direct thermal labelers, automatic package wrapping equipment and coffee machines.

You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues at customers site and in shop warehouse. Travel to Syracuse, Buffalo, Finger Lakes, Southern tier areas.

Responsibilities:

Repair customer equipment in office or at customer site, referencing installation manuals, assembling or disassembling machine components.

Installation and training of new equipment

Follow scheduled preventative maintenance schedule

Follow up with customers and suppliers with pending parts or service orders.

Compose and follow up with approval on repair estimates.

Maintain truck parts inventory.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in field service of mechanical and electronic equipment preferred

Ability to build rapport with clients

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Positive and professional demeanor

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience

You must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive multiple hours daily

You should be able to work Overtime, and On-Call as required
