What You Will Do:The Product Manager is responsible for leading API Basco Schmidt’s marketing and product development strategies. This senior leadership role reports directly to the VP/GM and will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and success by overseeing the development and execution of marketing initiatives and ensuring our product portfolio remains competitive and innovative.Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and product management strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Product Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, develop and maintain roadmaps, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define the product vision, develop and implement channel strategies and work collaboratively to deliver an end-user driven innovative product portfolio from ideation to launch to retirement.
Subject Matter Expert: The Product Manager is expected to become the “market expert” within the business. He/she is responsible for market research, identifying trends, understanding the customer’s current and future requirements (VOC) and the competitive environment to inform product and marketing strategies.
“Hub and Spoke” Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Procurement and Operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing and product initiatives. Build and lead a high-performing teams, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability across all departments.
Gross Margin Responsibilities: Monitor and manage product pricing, cost structures, and gross margins to ensure profitability targets are met. Implement pricing strategies and cost optimization initiatives to maximize gross margin.
Digital Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with API Sr. Marketing Strategist to develop and execute a robust digital marketing strategy, including WEB, SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing, to increase Basco Schmidt visibility and drive online engagement.
Digital Tools: Align, steer and where appropriate administer digital tools for product selection, quoting, CRM, etc…
Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, sales leads, and product performance, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Budget Management: Manage the marketing and product management budget effectively, ensuring the allocation of resources aligns with strategic priorities.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate marketing and product development updates, strategies, and results to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Project Management of New Products: Champion approved plans following the NPI process.
Sales Tools and Training Courses: Create tools and training to educate and train internal and external sales teams to enable them to successfully position our products.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field required; MBA a plus
3 plus years of experience in product management including marketing, innovation, and strategy
Experience in B2B environment.
Excellent multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills a must.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
Ability to translate data into actionable insights, strong analytical skills and passion for knowing the business cold.
Strong personal presence and experience influencing internal and external partners. Demonstrated ability to
Heat Exchanger industry experience a plus
Excellent working knowledge of PC applications including Excel, Power Point, Word and Microsoft Project.
Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for brand strategy.
Ability to develop and cultivate relationships
Travel +/- 15%
