Summary:The advertised position is with our Developer Tooling organization, which provides on-premise instances of GitHub, Travis CI, and ZenHub, along with the underlying infrastructure supporting them. We're looking for an individual with an empathetic ear and an eye to the future. The ideal teammate will be someone who is looking for continual growth, can think strategically and perform tactically, and wants to make a positive difference that ripples through the organization.DevOps Engineers are responsible for the following: DevOps Engineers maintaining high availability and site health for the tools in the portfolio, including Github, Travis CI, Zenhub, and our open-source Detect Secrets tool Staying ahead of the curve in the realm of large-scale distributed systems, and actively applying those practices to our environments DevOps Engineers will be identifying gaps in our offerings, and collaborating with partners inside & outside of Toolbox to fill those gaps Automating processes for repeatability, reliability, and auditability DevOps Engineers will be providing a support path for user problems that can't be resolved by our Customer Success Engineering squadREQUIREMENTS: Experience with modern DevOps tools and practices (git/GitHub, code review, continuous integration / continuous delivery) Experience with Agile practices (short, time-boxed iterations, regular retrospectives, continuous improvement) Writing software and tests using NodeJS, Python, or Golang Wicked sense of humor and outside interests, because all work and no play are boring The ability to quickly and collaboratively form hypotheses about reported problems, and validate them through experimentation and data feedback Experience in server administration, building to scale, and solving performance problems by analyzing system metrics and logs Experience with Linux Experience with Kubernetes Experience applying software engineering practices to operating large scale distributed infrastructure - configuration as codeKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
