This is a fulltime Network /Server Administrator -Engineer opportunity in Farmington, New Mexico.

Onsite is required but hybrid work schedule may be feasible

Under the direction of the Technology Manager, the IT Network/Server Engineer's role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, wireless network services, operating systems, and servers. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), servers, databases, and operating systems across the organization. In addition, the Network/Server Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, communication links, servers, databases, and operating systems. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software, server, database, and operating system problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. The Network/Server engineer will work helpdesk tickets, install PCs and desktop software, and provide mentorship to IT staff as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network and server capacity needs;

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network and server configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records;

Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network, server, and database administration, usage, and disaster recovery;

Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware;

Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry;

Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades;

Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services;

Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

The successful Network /Server Administrator or Engineer will have:

Experience with Windows Server administration / 2016; VMware required

Network administration preferred

Associate degree from an accredited college or vocational school in Computer Networking, Computer Information Systems & Technology, or a directly related discipline and seven (7) years directly related work experience.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering and four (4) years directly related work experience.

• CISCO Network Certification is a plus

• Microsoft Server 2016 or above Certification

• VMWare Certification
