Job Summary:
As an Entry-Level Construction and Maintenance Worker, you will assist skilled tradespeople in various construction and maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, learn about different aspects of the industry, and grow your career in construction. You will work on-site, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general construction tasks, such as site preparation, material handling, and basic installations.
Support maintenance teams with repairs, renovations, and upkeep of structures, equipment, and systems.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in proper working condition.
Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Help maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing debris, organizing materials, and disposing of waste.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
Attend on-the-job training sessions to develop skills in various construction and maintenance areas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and work hard is essential.
Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment (preferred but not necessary).
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
