HASSE Contracting Co., Inc. is looking for a heavy equipment operator for the state New Mexico area that can run a Backhoe, Skidsteer and Excavator. Operate machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials associated with road and bridges construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Works with the crew
Operates machinery- BLADE
Receives written or oral instructions to move or excavate material
Measures and verifies levels of rock or gravel, base, and other excavated material
Directs ground workers engaged in activities, such as moving stakes or markers
Controls operations of equipment or systems
Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Adjusts actions in relation to others’ actions
Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Experience:
High School graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training
Has 2-3 years of previous experience
CLASS B DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED
Description:
Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Be able to sit for long periods of time while operating machinery
Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, and balance
Be able to lift up to 51 lbs
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with safety standards in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Constantly use hands and arms to control operations
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves) when deemed necessary or mandatory.
Must be able to wear respirators when required.
Must be able to work 8 or 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime and night shifts as required.
Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions
Must be able to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, or lying down
Must be able to know locations in relation to the environment or to know where other objects are in relation to him/her
CLASS B DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED
