Rowan-Virtua SOM Job Title: Community Health Worker (ENDO-SBIRT) Department: Rowan-Virtua SOM Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Facility: School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) Reports To: Project Coordinator (ENDO-SBIRT) SUMMARY: Reporting to the Project Coordinator of the ENDO-SBIRT Project (Endometriosis Education, Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment), the Community Health Worker will provide outreach to community partners and ongoing support to study participants. The goal of the study is to identify women living with opiate use disorders and chronic pain who may have endometriosis and link them to screening and medical care. Job functions will include outreach to current and prospective study participants, coordination of care as appropriate to act as liaison between the study participant and the referring physician, and follow-up tasks as directed by the supervisor. This is a Grant Funded position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Build awareness of the ENDO-SBIRT intervention in the community through in-person and virtual recruitment events.
Perform ongoing outreach to community partners and follow-up to study participants.
Participate in regular, continuous quality improvement meetings to improve project services and outcomes.
Exhibit knowledge of cultural differences, including socioeconomic factors, cultural traditions, and spiritual beliefs.
Act as a liaison between study participant and referring physician to coordinate care.
Perform day-to-day administrative tasks as appropriate and related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Significant skill in engaging with members of the priority community for recruitment in this study. Lived experience in recovery preferred. Demonstrated skills in cultural competency, including engagement with women impacted by the opioid crisis. Must be a team player with interest in implementing innovative, evidence-based practices that may have an impact on women’s recovery.
POSITION DURATION: This is a Two-Year, Full-Time Temporary Grant Funded position.
