Associate Scientist - Biochemistry

Piper Life Sciences Solutions is actively seeking an Associate Scientist to work at a global cell therapy biotech company in the greater Newark NJ area.

• Develop, validate and execute cell-based and plate-based assays within biochemistry
• Maintain mammalian cell lines and conduct cell culture as well as cell sorting and cellular analysis
• Assist with biochemistry testing including ELISA, PCR, Western Blot, flow cytometry, and SDS Page
• Conduct cell-based assays, plate-based assays, and other assays as needed
• Perform data analysis, ensure proper GMP documentation, and conduct peer review of data

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or in biology, biochemistry, or related field plus 0-4 years of experience in biochemistry lab settings
• Experience with cell count, cell sorting, cell-based assays and/or microbiology testing in a GMP regulated laboratory preferred
• Hands on experience with analytical test methods and technologies including ELISA, SDS Page, Western Blot, pipetting and qPCR preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and proven experience working in a fast-paced environment

• Compensation: $50,000-100,000, based on previous salary history and experience
