Seamstress/Beader/Sales

The ideal candidate is creative, precise, and passionate about textile arts. The perfect candidate is a professional seamstress who is willing to work in sales at our Cherry Hill location. Our seamstresses who work in sales at the store typically get the most alteration jobs. Our alterations range from $400 to $1200. Our seamstress candidate must be able to work weekends January thru May as these are the moths that are the busiest.

Key Responsibilities:

Must be able to alter Prom dresses, Evening dresses and Bridal dresses

Must be able to communicate in English to our clients, Spanish is a plus for our Latino clients.

Cut, and assemble patterns according to client or project specifications.

Operate sewing machines and perform hand stitching as needed.

Experience with raffia and cotton fabrics, threads, and batting materials.

Ensure all work meets quality standards for durability and aesthetics.

Collaborate with team members or clients to develop custom designs (sleeves added to off the shoulder dresses, etc).

Manage project timelines to meet deadlines.
