TITLE: Machine Operator

TEMP/TEMP-PERM/DH: Temp to Perm

PAY RANGE: $19.67

START DATE: ASAP

SCHEDULE/HOURS: 5:45PM-6AM OR 5:45AM-6PM on a 2-2-3 Rotation Schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, etc.)

WEEKEND WORK IS REQUIRED BASED ON ROTATION - at least 1 weekend a month

Work between 3 or 4 days each week, 36 or 48 hours depending on the week. OT available!

DAY TO DAY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MACHINE OPERATOR:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Safely operate machinery with maximum efficiency, while maintaining product quality and following regulatory and company guidelines for sanitation and safety

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all equipment is setup and functioning;

Follow batch cards for all products verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights and descriptions;

Responsible for preparing batches per batch card (kettles, breddos, brix, acid, and PH levels) per batch card;

Assist with reports for ingredient lot numbers;

Remove any product not required for current batch run;

Participate in CIPs as needed;

Ensure kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for use;

Understand written production orders;

Report an accurate and current inventory to personnel with authority to initiate action;

Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS FOR MACHINE OPERATOR

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED

Proficient in operating up to 2 production machines, including operation, set-ups, change overs and troubleshooting of multiple machines

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes/boots

Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning

Ability to use various hand tools (knife, water house, band cutters, can opener, scales, Telnet scanners, various small hand tools as required for position/product testing)

Previous experience operating a forklift (for applicable work areas)

Lock out/tag out certified

Possess a continuous improvement and team orientated mind set

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) REQUIRED: helmet, hair nets, glasses and ear plugs
