IT Project Manager/Scrum Master

Title: IT Project Manager/Scrum MasterLocation: Salem, New Jersey (can work remotely until COVID/September’21).Duration: Fulltime with ComTec Responsibilities:

• Apply Agile delivery methodologies, standards and tools
• Apply facilitation techniques to ensure effectiveness of the Scrum meetings
• Schedule and facilitate daily scrum sessions
• Ensure meeting outcomes are defined, understood and achieved for the Scrum meetings
• Ensure stories for the sprint are playable (estimated, sized, prioritized)
• Work with the Product Owner to prioritize and right-size stories in the Product Backlog
• Facilitate the team's planning of the sprint based on prioritized stories, team capacity and historical velocity trends
• Facilitate decision making based on Agile values and principles
• Provide accurate project estimates and tightly manages project budget, approved funding, forecasts and actuals
• Develop mitigation plans to manage project risks
• Ensure visibility of current work in progress by the team (stories and defects)
• Proactively anticipate, recognize and detect items that may distract the team from completing the sprint
• Ensure that the goals of the release and sprint are visible and understood by the team
• Build and foster an environment of trust
• Diagnose, understand, and facilitate team dynamics to optimize team performance
• Provide solutions and continuous improvement opportunities to efficiently solve problems and provides critical thinking skills

• 10+ years of overall IT work experience including developing, business analysis, and project management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an IT Project Manager.
• Prefer candidate with Software Development experience
• Experienced in handling multiple scrum teams in a distributive Agile environment
• Goal oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with business delivery teams, leadership, senior management and internal/external stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely cross business delivery teams.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, and up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate with a broad set of constituencies, both technical and non-technical.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field.
