Medical Biller

Our client is a well-established medical practice located in New Providence, NJ looking to hire an experienced Medical Biller.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$19/hr - $23/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Medical Biller for our client's practice. The Medical Biller will handle medical billing and claim procedures. This position requires working on-site and the successful candidate will have experience in ICD-10 coding. This is a contracted role and compensation falls within the range of $19 - $23 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience and capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MEDICAL BILLER:

Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information.

Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.

Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance and coding information.

Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with the contract discount.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MEDICAL BILLER:

Experience with ICD-10 coding is required.

Experience in a healthcare office is preferred.

Proficient in medical terminology.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certification in Medical Billing is strongly preferred.
