Home Healthcare Aide (Part-Time)

Adult male stroke victim, 74-years of age, who suffers from partial paralysis and aphasia, seeking a part-time aide to assist with regular morning routine Monday through Friday (and weekends if interested) year-round.

A typical morning would entail:

The aide arrives at the residence located in Wayne, New Jersey at around 8:30am (time flexible), and transports the adult male from his bed to a wheelchair, and then into handicapped equipped shower. The aide will then shower and clothe the adult male, and then transfer him to a living room recliner. Once in the recliner, the aide will assist the adult male in brushing his teeth, combing his hair, and inserting his dentures. The aide will also provide the adult male with previously sorted medication and observe him taking the pills, and set up a light breakfast (the adult male can feed himself).

Prior to departing the residence, the aide will tidy up both the bedroom and bathroom, and transport dirty laundry to the basement area. The aide will additionally strip the bedsheets every Friday.

Generally, the morning routine takes approximately 1-hour or less to complete.

Requirements Include:

Fluent English;

Access to reliable transportation within close proximity to Wayne, New Jersey;

The physical ability to transport the adult male from the bed to the wheelchair, from the wheelchair to the shower, and on to a recliner;

Reliable (must be available Monday through Friday regularly); and

Ability to pass a background check.
