We are seeking an experienced Host or Hostess to join our team at a busy full-service restaurant. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations. This position combines traditional hosting duties with some server responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression.

Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts to optimize table turnover and flow.

Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and inform them of specials.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

Serve meals and drinks to guests, ensuring timely and attentive service.

Monitor guest satisfaction, handle inquiries or concerns, and check in on tables throughout their visit.

Coordinate with kitchen and serving staff to maintain seamless service.

Assist with light bussing, clearing tables, or other front-of-house tasks as needed.

Answer phones, manage to-go orders, and handle payment processing when required.

Requirements:

At least 1–2 years of experience as a host/hostess or server in a full-service restaurant.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

Strong organizational skills for managing seating and reservations.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays or items as needed.

Compensation:

Starting pay: $5.62 per hour + tips (tip pool/share from servers or direct tips eligible based on performance and restaurant policy).

Potential for higher earnings through tips in our busy environment.
