North Star Academy Nurses promote health and safety in the school environment and provides health services to students, faculty and staff. As the school health services specialist, nurses assist our students and staff in attaining and/or maintaining optimum health, and promoting positive health habits and attitudesResponsibilitiesProvide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illnessKeep track of students’ vaccination records and follows up with families as neededUpdate students’ medical history and files accordinglyEnsure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
