Direct the flow of visitors and patient to their respective destination. Answer and direct patient information calls to appropriate areas. Maintain High level of professionalism, privacy, and confidentiality.Qualifications:Required:

High School Diploma

Good command of the English language

Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. General orientation and successful completion of department specific orientation

Preferred:

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Scheduling Requirements:

Shift working, 3:00pm-11:00pm

Flexible including weekends and holidays

Per Diem

Essential Functions:

All other duties as assigned

Answers, screens and transfers calls to appropriate departments and patients

Courteous, polite, and professional tone and demeanor when answering phone calls or while assisting people in the lobby

Is polite and courteous, clarifies and interprets the numerous policies related to visitation.

Maintain the appearance of the lobby and along with security maintains the control of the waiting area

Oversees the mechanics of the information desk, checking to make sure patients are in house and directions to various locations

Works collaboratively with nursing units and physician offices to insure visitation and patient accommodations
