What you will do-As the Senior Manager of Crisis Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and refining a Crisis Management (CM) framework tailored to meet the specific needs of Stryker's business structure, risk tolerance, and broader operational practices. In this capacity, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, offering guidance and support during both routine operations and times of crisis. Drawing upon your extensive experience and subject matter expertise, you will be instrumental in invoking, advising, and overseeing crisis management committees. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of International Security, you will bring forth a unique blend of practical and theoretical knowledge in crisis management. Ideally, you will have prior experience in a crisis management role within a matrixed organization, enabling you to navigate complex organizational structures effectively. Successful execution in this role will require strong engagement and collaboration with site, regional, and functional leadership. Additionally, proficiency in crisis management tools and software will be essential to facilitate efficient crisis response and recovery efforts. While the overarching responsibility for crisis management lies with the VP of Global Security at the group level, you will be instrumental in ensuring effective crisis management at site, country, and group levels through collaboration with functional security leads. This is a remote role. The employee will work 100% virtually in the US. The ideal territory is on the east coast.

Design, develop, and deliver a simple, appropriate, and risk-driven CM framework that is repeatable

Identify, source, work with, and manage specialist CM vendors and tools to ensure a best-in-class CM infrastructure. Build and maintain a CM platform and SharePoint content for the handling and tracking of incidents and crisis

Ensure effective implementation of Stryker's mass communication tools

Maintain current business, country, site, and functional crisis response team details and provide periodic role and responsibility reminder information

Establish strong working relationships with the business and corporate support functions to ensure cohesive, timely and effective adoption of the CM framework

Develop an enterprise-wide crisis management response committee framework comprised of representatives from Stryker business lines and functions

Oversee and coordinate rapid and effective responses to crises in conjunction with security functional leads ensuring minimal disruption and timely recovery

Develop and deliver a CM training and awareness program that is risk-prioritized and focuses on continuous improvement

What you need-

Bachelor's degree highly preferred; or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent experience will be considered, in addition to the requirement below.

10+ years of direct work experience required in the public and/or private sectors - required

Comprehensive, substantive expertise of best-in-class crisis management practices and principles -required

Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, 365 platforms, and CM software and tools -required

Confident in balancing multiple projects at once and remaining calm in high-pressure scenarios -required

Ability to work independently and rapidly, to set priorities, and to meet targets in an expanding business environment -required

Skilled at preparing documentation for submission/presentation to senior leadership -required

Enables and drives change with a stakeholder focus -required

$112,800 - $239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.About StrykerOur benefits:
