  • The Lead DevOps Engineer is accountable for designing, building, and optimizing automation systems that help to execute business web and data infrastructure platforms. The DevOps Lead also develops self-service solutions for the Business Technology department to deliver software with excellent quality and speed. They are also involved in designing and developing scaling strategies, automation scripts, and solutions to implement, streamline, and execute Bank software.
Education Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related discipline preferred. Essential Job Function Contribute to the activities of the DevOps team and functions necessary to provide quality cloud systems and DevOps analysis, planning, development and support through the use of best practices and industry standards. Assist the department serving as a Development Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME). Assist with leadership of department and / or other project staff with implementing the strategic cloud and DevOps direction. Skills

Demonstrated ability to support, contribute and lead a cloud DevOps centric function within an organization.

Ability to design and implement architectural frameworks that are suitable to the Bank's organization and needs.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical project staff both on-shore and off-shore.

Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise-wide projects across multiple organizations.

Ability to inspire, lead, train and mentor software developers, architects, or analysts.

Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Strong working knowledge and competence with regard to cloud architectures across various types (private, public, hybrid and community), layers (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers such as AWS, Azure, VM Ware.

In-depth understanding of cloud layers and their appropriate application.

Strong knowledge, command and competence with regard to understanding of security, business continuity and network architectures on the cloud.

Strong knowledge, command and competence with regard to software driven data center concepts and infrastructure as code.

Demonstrated experience in a cloud based DevOps environment.

Experience with continuous integration ("CI") and continuous deployment ("CD") or like continuous methodologies using Jenkins, or similar applications.

Experience with version control tools such as GIT or Stash.

Experience in build tools such as Apache ANT, Maven, Bamboo or cruise control.

Experience in software provisioning tools like Chef, Puppet.

Highly skilled in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Powershell, XML, JSON, JavaScript, ASP, HTML, DHTML or equivalent development tools. Experience

Significant demonstrated experience, through time or achievement, in DevOps or cloud service development, compute engineering, architecture, and implementation.

Significant demonstrated experience, through time or achievement, in architecting and implementing DevOps process and tools in a cloud based environment.

Significant experience designing and implementing solutions with cloud orchestration tools.

Significant technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting large enterprise-wide applications.
