How you’ll make a differenceAECOM is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD / Drafting Specialist to join our Highways team in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop technical drafting skills while contributing to the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects.Working under the guidance of senior drafters, designers and engineers, you will support the preparation of design documentation and develop your expertise in industry-leading tools and standards.Key responsibilities include:Assist in the preparation of 2D drawings and 3D models for highways and transport infrastructure projectsSupport engineers and designers by translating design concepts into accurate CAD documentationProduce plans, sections, details, and other deliverables in accordance with project requirementsMake updates and revisions to existing drawings as directedYou will be supported in developing your technical capabilities to:Learn and apply AECOM CAD standards, templates, and workflowsDevelop proficiency in tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other digital engineering platformsSupport basic modelling tasks under supervisionBuild understanding of civil design principles including alignments, drainage, and earthworks
