Hiring - Inventory & Yard Specialist - CWS Fence & Guardrail

Position Summary:

The Inventory & Yard Specialist for CWS Fence & Guardrail is responsible for managing the Company’s material and inventory from arrival in the yard to loading and unloading vehicles for installation. This includes ensuring that material is unloaded, checked-in, labeled, stored, and loaded efficiently. The Inventory & Yard Specialist must provide clear and consistent written and verbal communication to a variety of internal and external resources regarding materials and inventory.

Essential Job Functions:

- Load and unload various materials on and off trucks and trailers

- Count and confirm quantities of materials received and shipped against bill of lading or load list

- Safely operate a loader in an outdoor environment

- Move, stack and label materials throughout the stockyard

- Ability to perform physical labor, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently through the day

- Other stockyard and warehouse duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role

- Materials handling and inventory management experience required

- Familiarity with digital inventory management systems, tracking and reporting preferred

- Proven loader operator experience preferred

- Self-starter with sound judgment, positive attitude, takes initiative, and adapts to changing work environment

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

- Drivers’ License

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

- Day shift with overtime

- Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as required throughout the workday

- Outdoor environment with exposure to year-round weather conditions

- Bending, squatting, climbing, standing for long periods of time

- Ability to grasp, discern color, be capable of using tools and equipment properly

- Must be able to maneuver in and out of vehicles safely

- Must be able to climb ladders (on vehicles) when necessary
