Hiring - Yard Worker

Position Summary:

The Yard Worker for CWS Fence & Guardrail will assist with the daily operations of the stockyard. This includes, but is not limited to, safe operation of a loader in an outdoor stockyard, constant materials handling and physical labor required to complete these tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

Safely operate a loader in an outdoor environment

Load and unload various materials on and off trucks and trailers

Move, stack and tag materials throughout the stockyard

Count and confirm quantities of materials received and shipped against bill of lading or load list

Ability to perform physical labor, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently through the day

Other stockyard and warehouse duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

Proven loader operator experience is required

Warehouse, materials handling and inventory management experience preferred

Self-starter with sound judgment, positive attitude, takes initiative, and adapts to changing work environment

Drivers’ License

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Day shift with overtime

Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as required throughout the workday

Outdoor environment with exposure to year-round weather conditions

Bending, squatting, climbing, standing for long periods of time

Ability to grasp, discern color, be capable of using tools and equipment properly

Must be able to maneuver in and out of vehicles safely

Must be able to climb ladders (on vehicles) when necessary
