Automation & Test Engineer

The Automation & Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test solutions to improve quality & productivity in production. The applicant will be joining a growing team that is developing the robust work flows and standard way of working that will be used to help to scale future test development within the department. This individual will need to possess the desire to embrace challenges as well as be a detail-oriented individual who has the demonstrated experience in industrial test software solutions to be able to use INFICON's platform of choice (LabVIEW/TestStand).Essential Job Duties

Specific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: Develop and implement automated test systems to improve productivity and ensure the highest product qualityDefine and prepare comprehensive test systems and corresponding test plans and proceduresDevelop test software in LabVIEW/TestStand for use in a manufacturing environment by production techniciansWork with the Design & Product Engineering teams to ensure test requirements are clearly defined and can achieve high levels of design for testabilityCreate production test solutions within the Test Engineering team’s common and modular platformDesign and build of electrical/digital test interfaces and fixturingProduce and maintain design artifacts (schematics, software build documentation, etc.)Provide support and troubleshoot existing production test equipmentWork jointly on a near-daily basis with INFICON’s manufacturing engineering, quality engineering & design engineering groups
