Accountant needed

Robert Half is seeking a General Ledger Accountant on a temporary to hire basis for our client in Nixon, NV. The primary focus of this role will be on reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of general ledger accounts.

Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process.

Prepare and post journal entries to correct any errors or adjustments.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Provide support for internal and external audits as needed.

Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting department.
