Partner with the best

As a Technical Product Manager (TPM), you will act as the interface between our product line and our development team. You are responsible for participating in voice of customer (VOC) engagements for our key customers and stakeholders and using this feedback to help create a vision and roadmap for the product. You are then responsible for taking this vision and translating it into detailed requirements that can be consumed by our development teams. By working closely with the teams throughout a development cycle, you will help to bring the product vision to fruition.

As Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Interacting with Product Line Managers and customers to gather voice of customer requirements and understand customer needs
  • Working with Product Line Managers to translate the vision and roadmap into actionable features
  • Acting as the agile product owner on one or multiple teams for ongoing development sprints to prioritize features based on technical competency and user value, and communicate context and customer why to development teams
  • Communicating short and long-term business objectives and priorities to execution teams
  • Overseeing requirements creation and validation process for owned features on assigned program
  • Ensuring that team implementation of features meets quality standards, functional and non-functional requirements and meets UX guidelines
  • Continuously prioritize roadmap features based on customer problems and needs
  • Engaging frequently with remote development teams; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, and contribute to requirements definition and design activities
  • Demonstrating awareness and domain expertise of Industries and trends
  • Influencing decision making and lead problem solving across projects, programs, and teams

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have Bachelor's Degree in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Have minimum of 2 years of industry experience in new product development, research, or other engineering function applicable to position
  • Have the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Have the ability to anticipate, break down and solve complex, cross-functional problems
  • Have effective presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Have the ability to influence through others, building direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas
  • Have interest in developing industry-leading products for monitoring machinery health
  • Have experience in new product development
  • Have experience working in an agile development environment

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in using TFS or equivalent program management tool
  • Preferred to work out of an office located in Minden, NV - located next to the Sierra Nevada mountains and a 30-minute drive to Lake Tahoe
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, agile practices like Kanban, Scrum and SAFe.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple work streams effectively and provide timely updates
  • Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation, constant change management, and rapid problem solving
  • Experience working with global and remote teams
  • Experience facilitating customer engagements for requirements gathering
  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Industry experience in condition monitoring of industrial assets
