Accounting Specialist

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a short-term contract employment opportunity located central Las Vegas, Nevada. The Accounting Specialist is integral to their operations and will involve managing the full cycle accounting for two entities, one using NetSuite and the other using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), vendor statement reconciliations and month-end close duties. The Accounting Specialist must be able to work overtime as needed and be flexible as they will have to work out of 2 locations on a weekly basis. The day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain precise records of customer credit Resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required Handle full cycle AP tasks, including 3-way matching, batching, coding, and check runs Manage AP invoices received through an inbox and liaise with warehouse managers to resolve any discrepancies Reconcile vendor statements for AP Manage AR tasks, such as posting payments and preparing aging reports for the CFO Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries Assist with month-end close operations.Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist, Staff Accountant, or similar position. Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite and QuickBooks. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create Pivot Tables and use the VLOOKUP function. Bachelor's degree accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred, but not required.
