As a Design Technician, you'll play a key role in designing high-powered substations using MicroStation, Revit, and AutoCAD software, contributing to the infrastructure that powers our communities. From concept to completion, you’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to create impactful, sustainable solutions that meet future energy demands. Perform intermediate- to advanced-level substation design while working under minimal direction and supervision.
Collaborate with engineers and technical leadership to develop and execute design approaches that meet project specifications and client requirements.
Use MicroStation, Revit, or AutoCAD software to create accurate and detailed design drawings for utility transmission and substation projects.
Run design calculations, update drawings, determine material needs, and review project specifications.
Provide mentorship and training to less experienced technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Attend client meetings to discuss project needs and design solutions.

Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of six years of experience with MicroStation or similar software.
Proven ability to work independently on non-routine drafting and design tasks.
Experience working in substation or utility transmission projects is preferred.
