Hexagon Agility is the leading global provider of highly-engineered and cost-effective compressed natural gas, liquid natural gas, propane, and hydrogen fuel systems and Type 4 composite cylinders for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Our portfolio of products also includes the production of high-performance, modular battery packs for commercial vehicles. Our solutions enable the safe and effective use of natural gas, propane, and hydrogen as a transportation fuel. These clean fuels reduce greenhouse gas and other air emissions and save money for fleet operators and their customers. We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician. This position will be based out of our Lincoln, NE location. Overview:Field Service Technicians are responsible for traveling to customer and various related field locations to resolve customer issues. Must be able to work unsupervised in remote locations for some overnight and extended periods as necessary. Responsibilities:
Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
Inspect and test components of natural gas, helium, hydrogen, and electrical systems to include tanks, regulators, and valves
Work safely with high pressure systems in excess of 3600psi
Mobile field diagnostic and repair work on natural gas and other gas distribution systems
Evaluate repairs needed and make practical decisions on the best repair strategy
Lead field repair team on field service actions
Serve as the point of contact when on site. Evaluate situation and determine best avenue to proceed as well as keeping the customers informed of progress and status of the repairs.
Provide exceptional customer service and technical support of products
Communicate and interact with customers, sales and other service counterparts in a positive, courteous and professional manner to earn long-term partnerships
Develop a thorough understanding of Hexagon Agility’s Mobile Pipeline products
Complete required contact and service reports in a timely fashion including, call reports, performance reports along with product analysis and expense reports
Maintain current working knowledge of local and national codes where applicable
Capture Voice of Customer data whenever possible to help improve products/processes
Ability for 50% plus travel
Assist with in plant work and other field service testing (i.e. MAE) as necessary
Skills and qualifications
SAE automotive certification or equivalent technical training
3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in natural gas or transportation applications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, be a self-starter
Ability to communicate professionally both verbally, and in writing to staff, vendors, and customers.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to maximize effectiveness
Good problem solver
Computer skills to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Must have previous experience/ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Must have previous experience/ ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Strong electrical background is a plus
Must have a valid driver license, clean criminal background/driving record.
Must be able to obtain CNG inspector certification within 6 months of hire date
