General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.Internal Applications Close: 04/02/2023.

Provide necessary support to Facilities Department in order to maintain the operation and improve the operation efficiency of Plant and Production Systems.

Apply engineering skills to implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability of plant and production equipment. Utilize software and hardware technologies for monitoring equipment operation and to apply predictive methodologies to reduce equipment downtime. Apply project management skills for completing assigned projects, while recognizing priorities and the importance of supporting production operations.

For any relevant plant or production equipment/process, the Facilities Engineer can be tasked with researching and implementing electrical and mechanical solutions. The Facilities Engineer can manage Facilities Projects which may include definition of scope, equipment specification, obtaining contractor/supplier quotes and/or working closely with contractors or internal Maintenance and Electronics Departments to complete.

Develop and apply the technological principles needed to control or monitor the manufacturing or facility operation processes. The Facilities Engineer can be involved in developing a conceptual solution, testing, installation, and monitoring of mechanical and electrical processes. They can be involved with programming of Facility Equipment or Production Equipment control systems. Safety of the facility and its staff, efficient and safe equipment operation, and product quality, are key concerns of professionals in this area. All work has to adhere to internal company SOPs, as well as external industry regulations.

Minimum, B.S. in applicable engineering or technical discipline.

2+ years of experience in applicable field preferred.
