Accountant/Tax Accountant (Superior, MT)

Roni L. Haskins, CPA, PC is seeking an accountant / CPA. We are a small accounting firm located at Superior, MT offering services in the areas of tax preparation, tax consulting and compliance, bookkeeping and payroll administration, accounting system setup and consulting and looking to expand our team.

Position Requirements:

Associates degree in Accounting; or two year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong computer skills including extensive use of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various staff, clients, and outside reporting jurisdictions

Detail and deadline-oriented

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Ability to multi-task

Flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

Preparation of individual and business tax returns.

Process payroll for various companies.

Prepare and review work papers, trial balances, adjusting journal entries, depreciation schedules, book to tax differences

Provide QuickBooks services

Prepare and review year end 1099’s

Research and apply tax law to completed and/or contemplated transactions

Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
