Reports To: Director of Operations

Position Summary

The Injection Molding Manager will lead and optimize our molding department, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met. You will manage a small team of operators while driving technical improvements through Scientific Molding principles and Lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Manage daily molding operations, including scheduling, labor allocation, and equipment utilization to meet OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets.

Technical Excellence: Provide troubleshooting for molding issues. Lead new mold sampling, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and "Scientific Molding" implementation.

Quality Control: Ensure all production adheres to company standards. Lead root-cause analysis for quality defects and implement permanent corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap, optimize cycle times, and improve setup/changeover efficiency (SMED).

Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and train production staff. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or equivalent experience

Experience: two years in a plastic injection molding environment, and two years in a management or supervisory role.
