Primary responsibility will be to assist the existing lead person in the installation of custom wrought iron fencing, gates, railings, etc. The ability to read a tape measure, a level and general construction skills are required (working with drills, grinders, saws, etc.). Welding and metal working skills are a plus. This position requires lifting and manual labor to dig post holes and mix concrete. Some assistance from a truck crane and/or extra hands to lift with other employees is usually the norm. The stamina to lift heavy items repeatedly of 80 lbs or more would be important in this position.

From time to time you may be in the shop working as a shop helper or running errands when inclement weather effects the installation schedule. Our installers work outside all year long during all weather conditions except precipitation. On rainy days, interior home installations are scheduled.

High School diploma or GED preferred. Basic math skills test may be given at time of interview.

Jeans and other clothing appropriate to the weather is the responsibility of the employee. After a 3-month trial period, work pants and work t-shirts are provided by the company. We provide other PPE job related items.

Hours/Shifts: M-F, 6:00-2:30, or 3:30 with 1 hour overtime. Start time is 6:00 am sharp.

Weekends: Saturdays occasionally but rare.

Pay and Benefits: $20 or more per hr depending on fence installation and/or welding experience.
