Part-Time Dental Hygienist

Job description

Responsibilities:

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for maintaining good oral health

- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials

- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records systems such as Epic or Dentrix

- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment

- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

- Provide preventive dental care to pediatric patients, including sealants and fluoride treatments

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental hygienist in a dental office setting

- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures related to dental services

- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Eaglesoft

- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred

- Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices

- Ability to assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials

Salary: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
