Lead Compliance Officer - Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI)
Missouri, Saintlouis, 63101 Saintlouis USAAbout this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compliance Officer in Corporate Risk as part of Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) Compliance . This is an exciting time in Wells Fargo Compliance as we enhance the Compliance Program and Risk Framework across Wells Fargo. The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) Compliance team works closely with our front-line business and control partners to drive implementation of the Wells Fargo Compliance Program Policy; and oversee Front Line's execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions.Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.comIn this role, you will:
Provide Business aligned compliance officer (BACO) support and oversight to Strategy, Digital and Innovations team for an assigned area of coverage, starting with Analytics and Enterprise Payments Data Hub (EPDH), and Consumer Digital move money processes.
Provides BACO support as needed across Compliance Program Policy (CPP) elements such reg inventory and reg change, compliance risk identification, escalation, and mitigation; BACO support for RCSA RAUs, issues management and corrective action reviews, Third Party compliance risk reviews and perform BACO monitoring activities and etc.
Oversee the Front Line's execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions.
Develop, oversee, and provide independent credible challenge to standards with subject matter expertise.
Maintain compliance risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk, over multiple business lines.
Provide direction to the business on developing corrective action plans and effectively managing regulatory change.
Report findings and make recommendations to management and appropriate committees.
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
Monitor the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies, or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management.
Work with complex business units, rules, and regulations on moderate to high-risk compliance matters
Partner with Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO), Legal and Audit and other BACO teams
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in digital banking and payments risk management
Experience with laws, rulings and regulations impacting Digital services and capabilities including (but not limited to) eSign, FFIEC guidance on authentication, Reg E, TCPA, Reg P, Reg DD, Reg Z, FCRA, OCC guidance; subject matter expertise in one or more of these regulations is preferred.
Experience with Wells Fargo's risk assessment methodology and tools
Experience in providing, overseeing, and monitoring of risk programs such as RCSA, RME, ERIA etc.
Experience in performing monitoring, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies, or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization.
Experience in thinking critically, in prioritizing, in working effectively and independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
CRCM certification
Job Expectations:
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
