Summary

The Logistics and Business Integration Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the QA effort to maintain the integrity of a web-based workflow application by working with Business and Technical Analysts to thoroughly understand project goals, new features, as well as existing system functionality. The QA Analyst will be responsible for creating, executing and maintaining test plans for new projects and enhancements by analyzing business and technical requirements. The QA Analyst will also be responsible for executing regression testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of the Logistics and Business Integration (L&BI) systems, primarily a web based workflow application.
  • Contribute to the L&BI department effort, to develop QA testing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure procedures are followed, results are documented and performance testing results are communicated to management as required.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into written test cases.
  • Assist in development and execution of test plan.
  • Execute/Oversee execution of the test plan and record results, in coordination with project timelines.
  • Summarize and report test rules, e.g., number of tests conducted, percent of test cases passed on first attempt, number of issues reported, etc.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts and evaluate results.
  • Execute/Oversee regression testing.
  • Work with business representatives to develop and execute user acceptance test plan.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with application/software testing.
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, testing (integration, user, and performance), implementation and support.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Team oriented approach with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to relay information well in both written and verbal form.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 1+ years of related experience required
