Missouri, Kansas city, 64101 Kansas city USADescription Our reputable client is seeking an interim VP/Director of Finance to join the company.This contract opportunity will be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, and conducting forecast analysis. In addition, as a member of the Executive Team, the VP/Director of Finance will participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics.Major responsibilities
Drive financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improving forecasting and modeling accuracy
Create reports on the company's key financial metrics for internal and board stakeholders
Generate and maintain effective professional relationships with the company's bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations
Oversee the preparation of relevant materials for detailed business unit projections and highlight risks/opportunities
Collaborate with the executive team to develop operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the organization and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets
Run the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting and forecasting processes
Manage adherence to the company's accounting policies and procedures Requirements - CPA designation or MBA highly preferred
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Exceptional analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Strong written and verbal skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Minimum of 8 years' experience at an executive level role
Must have strong integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy
