Description Do you have skills in both business systems analysis and project management and prefer working independently? Expertise in accounting functions and systems is required for this Project Manager position. This is the right role for you if you enjoy handling multiple financial projects and keeping them on schedule. In this Project Manager position, you will help Business Analysts complete the detailed requirements documentation that may involve data mapping to accounting systems to result in accurate accounting and reporting of transactions. The business requirements need to feature specifications collected from the accounting leadership team as well as feedback from key participants from other functional areas. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Kansas City, Missouri area.Key responsibilities

Starts new and precise governance approaches for the projects to result in constant communication and issue resolution

Handles project sponsor expectations and interprets business drivers. When required, negotiates changes to project scope, timing, or resources to deliver strategic solutions

Organizes priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meets stakeholder expectations

Oversees work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

Identifies business requirements and business process design and explain them to the development team

Identifies and researches business requirements for business users Requirements - Candidates must have ample experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications

Skills in Leadership Skills

Practical knowledge of Budget Processes

Knowledge of Stakeholders

Good understanding of project management

Proven knowledge of procedures

Foundational knowledge in training

Hands-on experience with Perform Ad Hoc Financial

Previous experience working with Workstation Support

Experience with Onboarding

Earlier work involving scheduling

Strong familiarity with Integration

Prior experience with Progress

Foundational knowledge in Partners

Command of documentation

Planning experience highly desired

Solid understanding of Communication Skills

Communication experience desired

Experience with Collaboration

Wide ranging experience with design

Quality experience with quality

Comprehension of Vendors

Well-founded grasp of Policy

Deep understanding of reporting

General familiarity with Planning Processes

Solid understanding of Practices

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Ability to apply independent judgement and act on it

Candidates should have know-how in business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development

Provide information both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology professionals

Past experience with or in an accounting function with a key role in system projects preferred

Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques

Candidate must be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

Prefer candidates with a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification
