About the Position

Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech for a long-term, direct-hire role with a leading manufacturing company in Joplin. This position is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and keeping production running smoothly.

We also have openings for Machine Operators, Janitorial staff, Metal Fabricators, and more through our Joplin office.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical processing equipment

Perform routine inspections to reduce downtime and prevent failures

Support line startups and make adjustments for peak performance

Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance schedules

Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate findings

Promote a safe, clean work environment

Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (additional coursework preferred)

Knowledge of mechanical systems (chains, gears, bearings, etc.)

Experience with mechanical and electrical processing equipment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
