The Doe Run Company is seeking a Furnace Loader Operator to operate mobile equipment to mix and transport material used in or a product from furnace operations. This position is located at the Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour 5% monthly targeted bonus. Insurance benefits start day 1. Eligible for 80 hours vacation and 11 holidays.Responsibilities:

Operate mobile equipment in order to feed the furnace and move furnace feed or furnace product.

Identify material correctly according to furnace feed, storage location, and furnace by-product.

Operate feed belt and swing spout in order to properly feed the furnace.

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas. Operate bobcat and other equipment in order to clean up work areas and transport material. Clean up crane aisle, pick up kettles, and clean belt lines.

Assist furnace operators as needed, including communicating operational, safety, environmental and health concerns.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

At least one year of experience operating a loader and other mobile equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Mobile equipment certification.

Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of and ability to follow all applicable environmental, safety, and health regulations.

Ability to identify materials and storage locations properly.

Ability to follow feed mixing, loading, and unloading procedures.

Skilled in basic maintenance, including but not limited to tightening, lubrication, and cleaning.

Basic computer skills and the ability to monitor a furnace control panel.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear and to work near moving, mechanical parts.

Occasionally exposed to vibration and extreme heat.

Occasionally, work is performed in confined spaces and/or with fall protection.

Frequently required to walk and perform repetitive movements; occasionally requires sitting, feeling attributes of objects, grasping, pushing, and driving.

Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Frequently required to lift up to 15 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
