Questions or need assistance with application: 406-869-8318 The main purpose and function of the Plant Manager is to plan, coordinate, and direct efficient plant processing in accordance with scheduled priorities and quality standards while maintaining costs within acceptable limits. Specific responsibilities may include:

Ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective production and inventory of finished product.

Collect, summarize, analyze and report production data.

Recommend capital equipment expenditures. Coordinate planning and completion of plant projects working with appropriate parties including engineering, contractors, vendors, and maintenance.

Identify and assess production, technical, and personnel problems and develop constructive solutions to drive out waste using root cause analysis techniques.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to health, safety, and environment.

Responsible for determining plant capability and operational needs.

Responsible for advising management of reasonable production and shipping goals.

Responsible for plant, vehicles, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the job.

Hire, train, motivate and supervise all plant personnel to established procedures.

Interact with all department managers and all levels of management.

Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program and Quality Management System.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with production plant operation, preferred.

Two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory experience , preferred.

Experience working with material requirement planning (MRP) programs , preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Supervisory skills.

Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

MS Office with focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) programs.

Project management.

Regulatory requirements for plant operations.

Mathematical.

Aptitude for equipment operations and troubleshooting.

Driver’s license required with the ability for light travel.

PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
