job detailsjob summary:Large utility needs a Senior Industrial Engineer in Jackson, MI. The Industrial Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines. Design, redesign, or enhance work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated. Candidate should have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IE or engineering related field.location: Jackson, Michiganjob type: Contractsalary: $47 - 60 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:The Senior Industrial Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient utility and/or manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. They will lead studies on the processes used by various departments and external industry practices to identify ways to streamline production processes and improve overall efficiencies and quality while reducing costs using lean principals. The Senior Industrial Engineer will be responsible for conducting complex time studies, analyzing data, and developing process improvement plans. Additionally, the Senior Industrial Engineer will oversee the work of lower level engineers and technician on large projects and develop training and coaching programs for employees on new processes and procedures to increase productivity and quality while reducing waste and costs.qualifications:
