Sales Engineer, Custom Machinery

This position is responsible for direct communication with our clients as it relates to sales of our products and services. This position will require the individual to give prompt attention to incoming project inquiries. You will use analytical skills along with previous project data to produce accurate material and labor estimates for projects, and generate/submit proposals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. An ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in machine shop and general metalworking activities, or had previous experience in the sales and estimating of custom-built industrial and automation equipment. A background in sales as well as mechanical design/engineering, machine design, automation, or a related field is ideal. When quoting, you will collaborate with our in-house engineers to create viable design concepts to present to our clients. In addition, you will be the primary point of contact for periodic intake of replacement part orders for previously-built machines and equipment.
You will be expected to network and market our company to form new relationships within the local and regional manufacturing industry with the goal of broadening our client base. If you have established industry contacts that you are able to bring to the table you will move to the top of the list.
